Roberto Boltri Italy
Roberto Boltri was born in 1946 in Ampezzo (Ud). He then moved to Bologna where he completed his high school and university studies, graduating in Geological Sciences.
From 1972 to 1996 he was in the Marche and worked as an environmental technician.
In those years he frequently went abroad to African and Asian countries (Somalia, Algeria, Libya, Uzbekistan) to work on environmental projects.
During the years of his professional commitment he held numerous administrative-political positions (provincial councilor, council group leader, regional parliamentarian).
In 1980 he was a founding member of the international festival Rossini Opera Festival R.O.F. of Pesaro
In 1996, retired, he left Italy to dedicate himself, as an ecologist, to international volunteering working for the United Nations, the European Union and the OSCE in Bosnia Herzegovina, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Kyrgyzstan, Somalia, Somaliland, Yemen.
Its main sector of activity is that of international cooperation both in the environmental and social, humanitarian and cultural sectors.
He is the author of three books aimed at intercultural understanding between East and West.
Currently (over seventy years of age) he has reduced his commitment as a soil geologist by dedicating himself to cultural cooperation and to the research and valorization of young talents, especially in the musical field.
It collaborates with various universities by organizing master classes for young people interested in volunteering and international cooperation.
He is married to Altyn Makhanbetzhanova and lives in Kazakhstan in ALMATA.
IN 2018 he was nominated knight of the Italian republic for having brought Italian culture to the world.
